Residents in several parts of Kenya are facing serious challenges due to overflowing sewage and poor sanitation systems. In towns and informal settlements, blocked drains and inadequate sewer networks have led to foul odors, health risks, and the spread of waterborne diseases. Community members have voiced frustration over delayed government responses, saying that stagnant sewage affects their daily lives and puts children at risk of infections. Health officials warn that if the situation is not addressed urgently, outbreaks of cholera and other illnesses could increase, and now the residents are waiting to see if the government will help in the situation or not.
