KEMSA DELIVERS KSH 26 MILLION MEDICAL SUPPLIES TO TAITA TAVETA
BY PATIENCE SAMBA
Photo CourtseyHealth facilities across Taita Taveta County have received medical supplies worth KSh 26 million from the Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA), a move expected to boost service delivery and tackle persistent drug shortages. The supplies, which include essential medicines, laboratory commodities, and non-pharmaceutical items, have already been delivered to level four hospitals, with rural health facilities receiving theirs this week. Health Services CCO Violet Mkamburi urged health workers to ensure proper storage, accountability, and timely dispensing of the medicines, adding that she will personally inspect facilities and engage patients to ensure they receive the care and medications they need. This initiative is set to improve access to essential healthcare services for residents across the County.
