CRUISE SHIP MV EUROPA BRINGS BENEFITS TO MOMBASA RESIDENTS WITH 287 TOURISTS

Residents of Mombasa are set to benefit economically after the cruise ship MV Europa docked at the Port of Mombasa carrying 287 tourists. The arrival is expected to boost local businesses as the visitors tour the city and surrounding attractions, increasing demand for transport services, tour guides, hotels, restaurants, curio shops and other small enterprises. Traders at the Likoni Channel, Old Town and the central business district are likely to record higher sales, while the hospitality sector anticipates increased bookings.

RESOURCE CENTER EMPOWERS COAST GIRLS WITH TRAINING ON BOUNDARIES, CONSENT AND PERMISSION BY PATIENCE SAMBA        The Resource Center for Women and Girls has carried out training sessions across the Coast region to equip girls and women with essential life skills, including how to set personal boundaries, how to understand and give consent, and how to ask for permission in different situations. The non-governmental organisation has reached groups in Makupa, Mombasa County, and Kilifi County, conducting physical, interactive lessons aimed at empowering participants.
