INTERIOR CS MURKOMEN WARNS AGAINST ELECTION DISRUPTORS AS SECURITY IS TIGHTENED
BY PATIENCE SAMBA
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has issued a firm warning to individuals plotting violence and disruptions during the upcoming by-elections, declaring that the government will not tolerate any form of electoral chaos.
Murkomen emphasized that security agencies have been fully deployed and instructed to take decisive action against anyone attempting to incite conflict or interfere with the democratic process. He assured the public that the government is committed to maintaining peace and order before, during, and after the polls.
According to Murkomen, enhanced security measures will not only safeguard the integrity of the elections but also benefit residents directly by creating a safe environment for them to exercise their democratic rights without fear or intimidation.
The increased security presence is expected to encourage voter turnout, ensure smooth polling operations, protect businesses from possible disruption, and boost public confidence in the overall electoral process.
Murkomen urged all eligible voters to come out in large numbers and participate peacefully, reaffirming the government’s dedication to a credible and transparent election.
