IEBC CHAIRPERSON ERASTUS ETHEKON WARNS CANDIDATES AGAINST ELECTORAL MALPRACTICES AHEAD OF KASIPUL BY-ELECTION

The Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairperson, Erastus Ethekon, has issued a stern warning to all candidates participating in the upcoming Kasipul by-election, cautioning them against engaging in any form of electoral malpractice.

Ethekon emphasized that the commission will not tolerate acts that may compromise the credibility of the poll, including voter bribery, intimidation, early campaigning outside the permitted timelines, or spreading misinformation.

He stated that the IEBC has put in place strict monitoring mechanisms to ensure the by-election is free, fair, and transparent.

 Ethekon further urged candidates to conduct peaceful campaigns and respect the electoral code of conduct.

The by-election, set to take place soon, has attracted heightened interest, with the IEBC assuring residents that all necessary preparations are complete to guarantee a smooth and credible process.
