Residents of Bura are set to benefit from major reforms after the County Government renewed its push to streamline ranch management, with Bura Ranching Company Limited now the latest focus.
During a meeting held today, members accused chairman Yassin Nyange and the current board of failing to provide transparency, noting the ranch has gone 11 years without an AGM, lacks a functional office, and has unclear registration procedures.
County Executive for Agriculture Dawson Katuu Mzenge said many ranches face similar governance challenges, while Chief Officer for Livestock Mcharo Mwalugha urged strict adherence to ranch regulations to prevent further crisis.

Stakeholders agreed to hold a Special General Meeting on January 17, 2026, a move expected to restore accountability, end internal disputes, and pave the way for development that will directly benefit residents.
